About the network
- What is the Talent School Network?
- A Cognia K–12 school network that combines a flexible academic core with personalized pathways, network member schools, and curated pathway partners. Open to families, schools, and partners nationwide.
- Is it a remote / online school?
- No. We're a flexible learning layer that can run remote, hybrid, or in-person at a member school or NC campus. Most students mix remote academic work with in-person mentorship and partner days.
- Where are you based?
- We serve learners nationwide. In-person campus support is based in North Carolina, with network member schools adding local campuses across the country.
For families
- How does enrollment work?
- Start at /families and submit the interest form. We schedule a pathway design conversation, place your learner in the right tier (remote, hybrid, or co-enrolled), and turn on The Fold so you can see the pathway week one.
- What does a typical week look like?
- Most learners mix academic work in the mornings, project and partner time in the afternoons, and one or two in-person days per week (campus or partner). Schedules flex around competitions, travel, and family rhythm.
- How much does it cost?
- Full-flex remote starts at $8,050; Hybrid K–8 at $8,850; High school pathways range $8,050–$16,500; Co-enrolled tiers are lower. Full table at /tuition.
- Can we co-enroll with our homeschool or charter?
- Yes. The Co-enrolled tier keeps your primary registration where it is and layers TSN's pathway on top.
For schools
- What does my school get by joining the network?
- Cognia accreditation, The Fold (family portal + transcripts), guide support, the national pathway partner network, an onboarding playbook, and a co-branded shop. Your school keeps its name, culture, enrollment, and community.
- How long does onboarding take?
- Most schools onboard inside a single semester. Accreditation handoff and The Fold setup happen first; pathway partner integration rolls out across the first cycle.
For pathway partners
- Who can become a partner?
- Mentors, coaches, makerspaces, microschools, curriculum vendors, enrichment providers, field-trip hosts, certification providers, and creative organizations. Curated, not open-marketplace.
- How do partners get paid?
- Active partners earn meaningful annual program credits for every learner who selects or is referred to their offering. Specifics are shared during onboarding.
Pathways & talent partners
- What if our kid's interest changes mid-year?
- It happens — kids unfold, and they're allowed to. Pathways don't switch on a dime, but we plan for change. We re-balance pathways on a few cadences each year: at the start of each 6–8 week cycle for partner mix tweaks, and at the semester turn for bigger pivots. Your guide writes a short pivot plan with you so the academic core stays steady while the interests shift.
- What if a talent partner isn't the right fit anymore?
- Same answer, smaller scope. Your guide swaps a partner in or out at the next cycle turn — we just need a couple weeks' notice so the partner can wrap clean and the new one can ramp.
