What is TSN?
A flexible K–12 ecosystem.
The Talent School Network is a Cognia K–12 learning ecosystem that combines a flexible academic core with personalized pathways — woven together with mentors, network member schools, and curated pathway partners. Families can enroll directly, schools can join the network to share infrastructure and accreditation, and pathway partners (mentors, makerspaces, studios, vendors) plug their offerings into individual student pathways.
How it works
- 1
A learner joins through a family, a school, or both
Families can enroll directly into TSN. Existing schools can join the network and bring their students under the shared backbone. Co-enrollment with a homeschool, private, public, or charter school is also supported.
- 2
We design a pathway around that learner
Every learner gets a personalized pathway: their academic core, the projects they care about, mentors, real-world experiences, and the cycle goals they're working toward. The Fold is where that pathway lives.
- 3
Pathway partners plug in
Mentors, makerspaces, studios, microschools, field-trip hosts, and curriculum vendors contribute experiences into student pathways. Their work earns credit toward the learner's transcript and portfolio.
- 4
Cycles, showcases, and a real transcript
Work is organized into 6–8 week cycles that end in showcases. Progress is visible to the family every week. Credits and transcripts are Cognia and transfer to college admissions.

FAQ
- What is the Talent School Network?
- It's a flexible, Cognia K–12 school network. The core is shared across families enrolled directly and across partner schools that join the network. Around that core, each student gets a personalized pathway built from their own academics, projects, mentors, and real-world experiences with curated partners.
- Is the Talent School Network a remote / online school?
- No. We are not a fully-remote school. We are a flexible learning layer that can run remote, hybrid, or in-person at a member school or NC campus. Most students mix remote academic work with in-person mentorship, partner experiences, and campus or co-op days.
- Is the Talent School Network recognized?
- Yes. The Talent School Network is a Cognia Accreditation member school, so credits and transcripts transfer and are recognized for college admissions.
- Who is the Talent School Network for?
- Three audiences: (1) families looking for a flexible path for a K–12 learner; (2) existing schools that want to add a flexible-learning division without losing what makes their school theirs; (3) mentors, makerspaces, microschools, and creative organizations that want to plug into student pathways nationwide.
- What is The Fold?
- The Fold is the family learning portal — where families see their child's pathway, weekly plan, portfolio, progress, and guide communications. It is built specifically for pathway-based learning, not retrofitted from a generic learning management system.
- What is a pathway?
- A pathway is the personalized learning plan we design around each learner. It includes the academic core, project work, mentor relationships, real-world experiences with pathway partners, and the learner's own goals. Pathways are reviewed and adjusted every cycle.
- What is a cycle?
- A cycle is a 6–8 week block of focused pathway work that ends in a showcase. The school year is organized into cycles instead of long semesters so progress is visible and pathways can flex.
- What is a pathway partner?
- A pathway partner is a mentor, coach, makerspace, microschool, curriculum vendor, enrichment provider, field-trip host, or creative organization whose offering plugs into student pathways. Partners are curated, not open-marketplace.
- What is a network school?
- A network (or member) school is an existing school that joins the Talent School Network to share accreditation, The Fold, guide support, and the national pathway partner network — while keeping its own name, culture, enrollment, and community.
- Where is the Talent School Network based?
- We serve learners nationwide and have in-person campus support based in North Carolina. Member schools across the country add their own local campuses.
